To take the prescribed herbal powder, dissolve the recommended dosage in warm water and drink it. It’s usually taken 1 to 3 times per day, as directed by Dr. Hanson (TCM). It’s important to follow the instructions carefully and to contact the clinic if you have any questions about your prescription.
In addition to acupuncture, if Dr. Hanson (TCM) deems it necessary, herbal powder formulations may be prescribed to support your treatment. These are custom-made based on your diagnosis and health needs.
If you’re uncomfortable with needles, Dr. Hanson (TCM) can use gentle and less invasive techniques. Many patients who initially had a fear of needles have found acupuncture to be a pleasant and relaxing experience.
If you truly cannot accept acupuncture and experience needle fainting (vasovagal syncope), Dr. Hanson (TCM) may consider using acupressure, needle-free acupuncture patches, or herbal medicine as alternative treatments.
